Community v1.12 — Easier rentals, clearer community pages, and smoother sign-ups
Community members can now sign rental forms electronically, discover organizations more easily in search, and enjoy several fixes to rentals, cookie notices, and the Follow button.

New features
Electronic signatures on rental forms
Renters can now draw, clear, and redraw a signature directly on rental checkout and space forms. Required signatures must be completed before submitting, and admins see the signed image right in the reservation viewer instead of raw data.
Organizations in search results
Searching now surfaces organizations themselves, not just their events and groups, making it much easier for attendees to find and follow the schools and organizations they’re looking for.
Improvements
- Community group detection now uses a reliable flag instead of matching on the group’s name, so renamed community groups are correctly recognized and custom-named groups are no longer mistaken for plumbing.
Fixes
- Reservation emails now show the venue’s correct local time instead of UTC, so booking times and dates are accurate.
- Fixed the rental cart holding onto stale, deleted space entries that caused reservation submissions to fail with a confusing error.
- The cookie notice no longer blocks the page for visitors who only need to see a disclosure — it now only blocks browsing when a real consent choice is required, and includes a clearly labeled close button.
- Fixed the community Follow button showing reversed styling (filled when not following, outline when following).
