Event Community v1.9 Monthly release

Community v1.9 — Reserved-Seating Checkout & Richer Event Pages

Buy reserved seats end-to-end, see sold-out status at a glance, and enjoy Markdown-rich event pages with cleaner calendar feeds.

Reserved Seating Ticketing Community

Highlights

  • Reserved-seating checkout — pick your seats, unlock gated seats with an access code, and breeze through free ($0) orders with no payment step.
  • Clear sold-out signals — events now show sold-out and low-inventory states on browse cards and detail pages before you open the ticket picker.
  • Richer event pages — descriptions render full Markdown formatting, and subscribed calendar feeds show clean, correct dates.

New features

Reserved-seating checkout

You can now buy reserved seats end-to-end on the web: choose seats on the chart, enter an access code when a seat or section is gated, and check out. Free ($0) reserved orders skip payment entirely and issue your tickets right away.

Sold-out & low-inventory states

Sold-out events now show a clear “Sold out” badge on browse cards and a disabled state on the event page, plus a low-inventory warning — so you always know availability before opening the ticket picker.

Improvements

  • Event descriptions now render full Markdown (headings, bold, lists), including older content.
  • Calendar feed (ICS) descriptions are now clean plain text instead of showing raw ** and # symbols.
  • App-download buttons appear only where the Vega mobile app is actually available.

Fixes

  • On mobile, the on-screen keyboard no longer covers input fields on the ticket-transfer page or share drawer.
  • All-day events in subscribed calendar feeds no longer span two days in some timezones.
  • Fixed a reserved-seating timeout that left stale tickets in your cart, so you can start a fresh checkout.
  • Fixed a race condition that could break push notifications for some users.
