Admin v2.3 — Required Forms, Seat Manager & a Unified Workspace
Attach required forms to any admission, manage reserved seating from the chart, and work out of one unified Events/Groups/Spaces sidebar.
Highlights
- Required Forms on admissions — attach a custom form to any ticket type and collect responses at checkout. “Tickets” is now “Admissions.”
- Seat Manager for reserved seating — flip seats for-sale / not-for-sale right on the chart, issue comps, and see seat assignments in the guest list.
- One unified workspace — Events, Groups, and Spaces now share a single sidebar with searchable, nested locations.
New features
Required Forms on admissions
Forms are now a first-class feature you can attach to any admission (ticket) type. Build, preview, and edit a form directly from the admission editor, mark it required, and buyers must complete it before they can check out. Responses are tied to the ticket and are automatically voided if that ticket is refunded. As part of this work, the “Tickets” section is now called Admissions.
Seat Manager for reserved seating
A new Seat Manager tab lets you run a reserved-seating event straight from the seating chart — select seats and switch their status between for-sale and not-for-sale, with clear status badges and a safety quota on bulk changes. You can also issue complimentary reserved-seating tickets through a new step-by-step modal that picks seats on the live chart and assigns ticket types, and the admin guest list now shows each attendee’s seat assignment and ticket category.
Group calendar sync
Subscribe a group’s events to your personal calendar (Apple, Google, Outlook) and stay current without signing in to Vega.
Shareable private series
Share an entire private event series with a single tokenized link — recipients see every event in the series, not just the one you sent.
Unified workspace sidebar
Events, Groups, and Spaces now share one navigation sidebar, with a searchable list of locations and expandable spaces beneath each. Space names in calendar hover cards are now clickable links.
“Show all events” in month view
A new toggle in month view displays every event on a day instead of truncating to three — on both the main calendar and individual space calendars.
Improvements
- Rich Markdown event and post descriptions — headings, bold, and lists now render properly in the editor and across the app.
- Removed the 12-role limit — create unlimited custom user roles.
- Space admins can now override scheduling rules (double-booking, blackout/availability) for spaces they manage, and manage those spaces’ admin rosters.
- $0 reserved-seating ticket types are now allowed, matching general admission.
- Calendar (ICS) import handles large recurring files without duplicates, caps occurrences to the next 12 months, and supports assigning events to multiple spaces during review.
- The Spaces section now appears in the left nav for all staff (read-only for non-editors).
- Added a clear Cancel button on the Create Event and Create Series screens.
- The Space Save button now disables while saving (no more duplicate spaces) and no longer triggers the browser’s “leave page?” prompt.
- Login, org-selection, and onboarding pages refreshed to the new theme.
- Smoother sidebar drawer animation and drag-to-close behavior.
Fixes
- Fixed a calendar crash that briefly rendered the calendar empty on first load.
- Fixed events disappearing when dragged into a conflicting slot; overridable conflicts now prompt for confirmation.
- Fixed a cross-org series bug where opening any series showed “Access Denied.”
- Multi-space blackout periods now save and display at the correct time (fixing a 6-hour shift).
- Calendar V2 now keeps your month position after you edit an event, and quick-edit time dropdowns render above the modal.
- Dashboard and event-detail calendar links now open Calendar V2.
- Fixed subscription dates not applying when a pre-onboarding invoice is paid after org creation.
- Fixed onboarding logo upload and removed the irrelevant banner-upload option.
- Fixed a transient token-refresh failure that could wrongly log admins out.
