Access Codes

Vega promo and access codes: percentage or dollar discounts, hidden ticket types, presale unlocks, sponsor codes, and VIP lists.

Access codes let you offer special pricing or unlock hidden ticket types for specific audiences. They are commonly used for early-access promotions, sponsor giveaways, group discounts, and VIP invitations.

Types of Access Codes

  • Discount Codes – reduce the price of one or more ticket types by a fixed amount or a percentage.
  • Unlock Codes – reveal hidden ticket types that are not visible on the public event page. Attendees must enter the code during checkout to see and purchase these tickets.

Creating an Access Code

  1. Open your event and go to the Access Codes tab.
  2. Click Create Access Code.
  3. Configure the code:
    • Code – the string attendees will enter (e.g., EARLYBIRD2026)
    • Type – discount or unlock
    • Discount value – percentage or flat amount (discount codes only)
    • Applicable ticket types – choose which tickets the code applies to
    • Usage limit – maximum total redemptions allowed
    • Per-user limit – maximum redemptions per attendee
    • Valid dates – start and end dates for the code

Sharing Access Codes

  • Share the code directly with your target audience via email, social media, or messaging.

Tracking Usage

The Access Codes dashboard shows:

  • Total redemptions vs. usage limit
  • Revenue impact (total discount given)
  • Redemption timeline

Bulk Upload via CSV

You can create multiple access codes at once by uploading a CSV file:

  1. Go to the Access Codes tab on your event.
  2. Click Upload CSV.
  3. Select the ticket type(s) the codes apply to.
  4. Prepare a CSV with up to two columns:
code,maxUses
EARLYBIRD,5
VIP2026,10
SPRING25,1
  • code (required) – the access code string. Codes are automatically converted to uppercase.
  • maxUses (optional) – maximum number of redemptions per code. Defaults to 1 if omitted.
  1. Choose an upload mode: Add merges with existing codes, or Replace swaps all codes for the selected ticket type.
  2. Review the results and confirm.

💡 Tip

Files must be .csv or .txt, up to 10 MB and 10,000 codes per upload. A header row is optional — if the first row contains “code”, it is automatically skipped.
