Seat Mapping with Seats.io

Vega integrates with Seats.io to provide interactive seat maps for reserved-seating events. Attendees can browse available seats visually and select their exact spot during checkout.

Prerequisites

• A Seats.io account (you can sign up at seats.io)
• Your Seats.io workspace key and secret key
• A seat map designed in the Seats.io chart designer

Connecting Seats.io

1. Go to Organization Settings > Integrations.
2. Find the Seats.io card and click Connect.
3. Enter your Seats.io workspace key and secret key.
4. Click Save to complete the integration.

Designing a Seat Map

Use the Seats.io chart designer to create your venue layout:

1. Log into your Seats.io dashboard.
2. Create a new chart or edit an existing one.
3. Add sections, rows, and seats that match your physical venue.
4. Publish the chart when finished.

Assigning a Seat Map to an Event

1. Open your event in Vega and go to the Tickets tab.
2. Enable Reserved Seating.
3. Select the Seats.io chart to use for this event.
4. Map each ticket type to the corresponding seat categories in the chart.

Attendee Experience

During checkout, attendees see an interactive map where they can:

• Pan and zoom to explore the venue layout
• Click individual seats to select them
• See pricing per section or seat category
• View which seats are available, reserved, or sold

Tips

• Test the seat selection flow end-to-end before publishing the event.
• Use Seats.io’s “best available” feature to automatically assign optimal seats for attendees who prefer not to choose manually.
• For general admission sections within an otherwise reserved-seating event, create a GA area in the chart without individual seats.
