Connect Stripe to Vega
Link Stripe to Vega for ticket sales: connect your account, receive payouts, prerequisites, and fixes when Stripe onboarding or verification stalls.
Vega uses Stripe to process payments securely. Connecting your Stripe account is required before you can sell paid tickets.
Prerequisites
- A Vega organization admin account
- A Stripe account (or you can create one during the connection process)
Connecting Your Account
- Go to Organization Settings > Payments.
- Click Connect with Stripe.
- You will be redirected to Stripe’s onboarding flow:
- If you already have a Stripe account, sign in and authorize Vega.
- If you are new to Stripe, follow the prompts to create an account and provide the required business details.
- Once authorized, you are redirected back to Vega with a confirmation message.
What Happens After Connecting
- Payment processing is enabled for all events under your organization.
- Payouts are deposited into the bank account configured in your Stripe dashboard.
- Vega displays your Stripe connection status on the Payments settings page.
Stripe Account Requirements
Stripe may require you to complete identity verification and provide:
- Legal business name and address
- Tax identification number (EIN or SSN for US-based organizations)
- Bank account details for payouts
- A description of your business
Disconnecting Stripe
- Go to Organization Settings > Payments.
- Click Disconnect Stripe.
- Confirm the action. Existing orders are not affected, but you will not be able to process new paid transactions until you reconnect.
Tips
- Use Stripe’s test mode during initial setup to run practice transactions without moving real money.
- Review Stripe’s fee schedule so you can factor processing costs into your ticket pricing.
- Keep your Stripe dashboard bookmarked – it is the best place to view detailed transaction history and manage disputes.
