Group Announcements
Post announcements to Vega group members: share schedule changes, reminders, or news without emailing everyone separately.
Announcements let group admins broadcast messages to all members of a group. Use them to share event updates, news, reminders, or any information relevant to the group.
Posting an Announcement
- Open the group from the Groups section.
- Navigate to the Announcements tab.
- Click New Announcement.
- Compose your message:
- Title – a concise subject line
- Body – the full message content (supports rich text formatting)
- Attachments – optionally attach files or images
- Click Post to publish immediately, or Schedule to post at a future date and time.
Notification Delivery
When an announcement is posted:
- Members receive an in-app notification on their Vega dashboard.
- Members with email notifications enabled receive an email with the announcement content.
- The announcement appears in the group’s Announcements feed.
Managing Announcements
Editing
Click on an existing announcement and select Edit to update the content. Members who already received the notification will not be re-notified.
Deleting
Remove an announcement by clicking Delete. The announcement is removed from the feed but members who received email notifications will still have the original email.
Pinning
Pin important announcements to the top of the feed so they remain visible regardless of newer posts.
Tips
- Keep announcements concise and actionable – members are more likely to read short, focused updates.
- Use scheduling to time announcements for when your audience is most active.
- Reserve announcements for genuinely important updates to avoid notification fatigue.
