Standards for user contributions on the Vega Platform
Vega Platform – Content Standards

These Content Standards ("Standards") apply to all User Contributions (all content, data, information, communications, materials, and other submissions you post, upload, share, transmit, or otherwise make available on or through the Platform). These Standards are designed to promote a safe, lawful, respectful, and trustworthy environment for all users. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to comply with these Standards, in addition to the Terms of Use and any other applicable policies and terms. Users are responsible for reviewing and understanding these Standards. Failure to comply may result in removal of content, account restrictions, suspension, or termination.
1. Purpose and Guiding Principles
Vega aims to empower individuals and organizations to connect, share, and transact responsibly. These Standards are grounded in the following principles:
- Safety: Protecting users from harmful behavior, exploitation, and unlawful activities.
- Integrity: Preventing deception, fraud, and interference with the reliability of Platform interactions.
- Respect: Fostering civil engagement and preventing harassment, discrimination, and abuse.
- Authenticity: Ensuring information and interactions are genuine and not misleading.
- Compliance: Promoting adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
These Standards are subject to continuous refinement as the Platform evolves and as legal or other requirements change.
2. Safety and Harm Prevention
You may not post or share content that could foreseeably cause physical, emotional, financial, reputational, or social harm to individuals, organizations, or the public.
Violence and Threats
You may not post content that:
- Threatens violence or physical harm.
- Encourages or incites acts of violence, including threats against individuals or groups.
- Supports, praises, or advocates for violent acts, dangerous individuals, criminal organizations, or extremist activities.
- Depicts graphic violence.
Self-Harm
You may not post content that:
- Encourages or depicts self-harm, suicide, or intentional physical injury.
- Provides instructions or encouragement for self-harm.
Content raising concerns about self-harm may be removed, restricted, or escalated for safety review.
3. Prohibited Illegal Activities
You may not post content that:
- Facilitates or promotes illegal activity, including the sale or distribution of illegal goods or services, drug trafficking, theft, or fraud.
- Provides instructions for committing crimes or evading law enforcement.
- Infringes any applicable laws relating to gambling, weapons, or controlled substances.
- Violates export control, sanctions, privacy, or data protection laws.
4. Bullying, Harassment, and Abuse
You may not bully, harass, threaten, demean, or abuse others—whether individuals, organizations, or groups. Prohibited content includes:
- Insults, slurs, or demeaning attacks targeting a person’s identity, attributes, or personal characteristics.
- Repeated or targeted harassment, including unwanted contact or persistent provocation.
- Content intended to shame, embarrass, or defame individuals.
- Coercive behavior, including extortion or blackmail.
5. Hate Speech and Discrimination
You may not post content that expresses, incites, or promotes:
- Hatred, discrimination, segregation, or exclusion based on protected characteristics, including race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other traits protected under applicable law.
- Dehumanizing or violent speech targeting protected groups.
- Claims of inferiority, criminality, or moral deficiency about protected categories.
6. Sexual Content and Exploitation
You may not post content that:
- Is sexually explicit, pornographic, or primarily intended to arouse sexual interest.
- Exploits, abuses, or endangers minors, including any depiction of a minor in sexualized or suggestive contexts.
- Facilitates or promotes sexual acts, escorting services, or exploitation.
- Depicts non-consensual sexual acts or attempts to solicit sexual content.
7. Integrity and Authenticity
You may not post content that:
- Intentionally misrepresents your identity, affiliation, or qualifications.
- Contains false statements that could reasonably cause harm to individuals or organizations.
- Manipulates or falsifies information, data, or media to deceive others.
- Engages in impersonation or attempts to mislead others regarding your role on the Platform.
You may not:
- Post spam, repetitive or irrelevant content, or promote artificially inflated engagement.
- Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to manipulate Platform functions.
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform or disrupt others’ use of it.
- Create fake accounts, artificially generate traffic, or manipulate event listings.
8. Misinformation and Harmful Claims
You may not post or share misinformation that could reasonably:
- Undermine public safety, emergency response, civic processes, or public health.
- Mislead users regarding the nature, price, accessibility, or terms of events, tickets, or goods sold on the Platform.
- Interfere with the integrity of events, transactions, commerce, or public trust.
Where appropriate, Vega may reduce visibility, add warnings, or remove harmful misinformation.
9. Intellectual Property and Proprietary Rights
You may not post content that:
- Infringes or violates copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other proprietary rights.
- Uses logos, brand names, or proprietary content without proper authorization.
- Uploads third-party content without rights, licenses, or permissions.
You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to any content you post.
10. Privacy and Personal Information
You may not post content that:
- Contains sensitive personal information of others without consent (e.g., addresses, IDs, financial information, health data).
- Invades privacy or reveals confidential or proprietary information.
- Attempts to collect others’ personal data without legal basis or consent.
11. Commerce and Transaction Integrity
Where User Contributions relate to events, tickets, items, or other commercial activities:
You may not post content that:
- Misrepresents the nature, availability, quantity, or legitimacy of products or events.
- Promotes scams, deceptive offers, pyramid schemes, or fraudulent transactions.
- Facilitates the sale of counterfeit or unsafe goods.
- Interferes with the fairness or transparency of transactions or event operations.
12. Restricted Media and Manipulations
You may not post:
- Deepfakes or manipulated media intended to mislead or cause harm.
- Synthetic or AI-generated content that impersonates individuals without disclosure.
- False or misleading depictions of events, persons, or entities in ways likely to cause harm.
Vega may require labeling, disclaimers, or verification where appropriate.
13. Platform Security and Technical Abuse
You may not post or engage in behaviors that:
- Introduce malware, viruses, or harmful code.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
- Interfere with system integrity or performance.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or harvest data except as expressly permitted.
14. Content Context, Exceptions, and Allowances
In limited circumstances, Vega may allow content that would otherwise violate these Standards if posted:
- For educational, documentary, journalistic, or awareness purposes;
- In a non-gratuitous, non-exploitative manner; and
- With context demonstrating non-harmful intent.
Vega may nonetheless restrict reach, apply warnings, or require additional information.
15. Enforcement and Reporting
Vega reserves the right to:
- Remove or restrict access to any User Contribution, with or without notice;
- Suspend or terminate your account for violations;
- Limit functionality, visibility, or discoverability of content;
- Notify or cooperate with law enforcement where legally required.
Users may report content that appears to violate these Standards to support@vegaevents.com. Vega will review reports and take action in its discretion.
16. Updates to These Standards
Vega may modify, update, or supplement these Standards from time to time. Revisions will become effective upon posting, and continued access or use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of updated Standards.
